Henlee Resourcing is working in partnership with this highly niche yet fast paced FMCG organisation based in Swindon to recruit a highly motivated Learning & Development Partner for 3 days per week (some flexibility on this) for an initial 6-9 month fixed term contract (no day rates). In an ideal world the successful candidate will be able work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, however for the right person flexibility will be considered.

The Business has been running for over 50 years and is one of the worldwide leading providers of solutions used on a range of products including food, life science and health care / pharmaceutical products as well as a number of industrial goods.

Reporting to the HRD, the purpose of the post is to provide a proactive, efficient and comprehensive L&D offering to the UK business, ensuring that employees are trained and developed and talent is retained and managed.

You will develop and deliver value adding L&D programmes across all areas of the business to ensure optimum performance and lead the formulation of the L&D plan ensuring that it aligns with the organisational business plan and the HR strategy.

* Open minded and flexible – able to draw on your own expertise and bring thought leadership but to recognise that the employees have a valuable insight to offer and “we don’t know it all”
* Looks beyond HR to develop business focused customer solutions
* Comfortable to challenge the managers on a daily basis and to disrupt the status quo but in a thoughtful and considered way adding value to the strange ‘big/little’ and ‘young/old’ business
* Has a willingness to work outside the normal remit of L&D role – it’s a small team so need individuals who are keen to grow and expand their knowledge and skill set
* Experience of designing and implementing high value, multi stakeholder projects and can demonstrate where and how you add value to a geeky (i.e. a facts and data led) manager population through strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
* Wants to live and breathe the success of the team and the business
* Has a real desire to drive change, even when the desire isn’t evident in others – understands the psychology of change and how to effectively influence – “We work with the business – we don’t tell them what to do”
* Makes the complex simple
* Understands the 80:20 rule
* Creative and used to working with a variety of visual products that enables the development of great looking comms & offerings – experience of Articulate and Canva would be advantageous.
