Are you an experienced Learning & Development leader with a strong understanding of regulated financial advice? Do you have the credibility, strategic vision and stakeholder management skills to shape the future development of Advisers within a leading financial services organisation?

Henlee Resourcing is working in partnership with a highly respected financial services business based in the South West, to recruit a Head of Learning & Development on an initial interim 12-month fixed-term contract, with a strong likelihood of extension (and potential for permanency).

Following an internal promotion, we are seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Head of Learning & Development to lead a well-established Advice Academy training function. This is a high-profile leadership opportunity where you will take ownership of a comprehensive adviser development portfolio, ensuring learning programmes remain innovative, commercially relevant and aligned with an evolving regulatory landscape.

Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, you will be responsible for driving the strategy, design and delivery of learning solutions that support adviser competence, professional excellence and regulatory readiness. You will lead a team of learning professionals (2x direct reports + 10x Trainers), overseeing technical, advice and capability development programmes, while continually enhancing the quality and effectiveness of training provision. You will also act as an ambassador externally, presenting across industry events, conferences and professional forums.

Suitable applicants must possess significant Learning & Development experience gained within regulated financial, wealth management or mortgage advice-type environments (or similar). You will have a thorough understanding of regulatory frameworks, a strong track record of influencing senior stakeholders, and the ability to lead a team translating business challenges into effective learning solutions.

Henlee Resourcing is working with a well-established organisation in Swindon to recruit a talented Payroll Assistant for an initial 12-month fixed-term contract.

The role can be full time, it can be condensed 5 days into 4, the company will also consider part-time (min 28 hours). There’s also flexibility on start / finish times – as well as only 1 visit to the office in West Swindon per week.

Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, you will support the delivery of a high-quality, efficient payroll service for approximately 900 monthly-paid employees.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and processing of the monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy and timely salary payments
Ensure payroll compliance in line with PAYE legislation
Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or irregularities
Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate cost allocation
Complete statutory reporting and submissions to HMRC, including RTI, P11Ds, and auto-enrolment requirements
Support year-end payroll processes and reporting
Provide payroll-related information to external bodies such as HMRC, courts, and other agencies
Assist in administering employee benefits, including pensions, private healthcare, and childcare vouchers
Produce monthly management information reports (e.g. overtime, absence, headcount)
Process and report on employee expenses

Demonstrable knowledge of base payroll processes and administration
Strong attention to detail
The ability to work to deadlines and manage a busy workload
A proactive and flexible “can-do” attitude
Willingness to support wider HR administration and project work as required

This 12-month contract will support the HR team through a period of exciting change and transformation initiatives. It is a broad and varied role, working closely with an established, collaborative and genuinely friendly HR team. Key Responsibilities

Build strong relationships with managers and employees across the business.
Provide pragmatic HR advice and guidance on policy, process and HR best practice.
Support and manage a range of employee relations cases end-to-end, escalating more complex matters where appropriate.
Support recruitment and onboarding activity.
Assist with key employee lifecycle processes including probation, absence management and performance management.
Support the ongoing review and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures and processes.
Contribute to a variety of people-focused projects, including engagement, communication and development initiatives.
Support HR MI reporting and HR systems administration.
Provide occasional payroll and onboarding support where required.

About You
You’ll have experience in a broad generalist HR role, with proven exposure to key areas of the employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, absence and performance management. You’ll have a sound understanding of HR practice and employment law (including upcoming changes) and strong Microsoft Office skills. CIPD qualified, or working towards CIPD, would be an advantage.

You’ll be a proactive, flexible HR professional who builds strong relationships at all levels and enjoys working collaboratively. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, you’ll use your initiative, challenge constructively where appropriate, and support leaders through periods of change.
