Henlee Resourcing is working with a well-established organisation in Swindon to recruit a talented Payroll Assistant for an initial 12-month fixed-term contract.
The role can be full time, it can be condensed 5 days into 4, the company will also consider part-time (min 28 hours). There’s also flexibility on start / finish times – as well as only 1 visit to the office in West Swindon per week.
Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, you will support the delivery of a high-quality, efficient payroll service for approximately 900 monthly-paid employees.

This is a high-profile and business-critical role, offering the opportunity to shape and deliver a large-scale global recruitment strategy during a period of significant growth. Supporting multiple international locations across the UK, US, Australia and France, you will partner closely with senior leaders and the wider HR team to ensure the business attracts, hires and retains exceptional talent across a broad range of functions.
With plans to hire more than 250+ employees globally over the next 12 months, this role will play a key part in delivering an effective, scalable and engaging recruitment function, with a particular focus on UK operations including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, R&D, Quality, Warehouse and Corporate functions.
Reporting to the Global HR Director, you will lead and develop a high-performing recruitment team, act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and drive continuous improvement across recruitment processes, systems and candidate experience.
The successful candidate will have proven experience leading a similar in-house recruitment function within a fast-paced, growing, international environment. You will be comfortable operating at both strategic and operational level, managing large-scale recruitment activity while influencing senior leaders on workforce planning, hiring strategies, MI and organisational change.

Key Responsibilities
About You
You’ll have experience in a broad generalist HR role, with proven exposure to key areas of the employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, absence and performance management. You’ll have a sound understanding of HR practice and employment law (including upcoming changes) and strong Microsoft Office skills. CIPD qualified, or working towards CIPD, would be an advantage.
You’ll be a proactive, flexible HR professional who builds strong relationships at all levels and enjoys working collaboratively. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, you’ll use your initiative, challenge constructively where appropriate, and support leaders through periods of change.
